The Cog-wheel Railway, one of Budapest’s oldest forms of public transport, allows passengers easy access to Széchenyi-hegy (Széchenyi Hill), from where visitors can enjoy pleasant walks along forest trails.
Its lower station is in Városmajor, not far from the public transport hub of Széll Kálmán tér. Buses 22, 22A, 155 and 222, and Trams 56, 59 and 61 all go to Városmajor station. The Cog-wheel Railway terminates at Széchenyi-hegy, near the former Panorama Hotel, and barely 200 metres walk from the Children’s Railway.
