Libegő chairlift to Lóvasút Cultural and Event Centre

A walk from the top to the bottom of the chairlift

This route from the top to the bottom of the Libegő chairlift is downhill almost all the way – a drop of about 300 metres. It follows the green triangle trail, but you can also take a slight deviation to see Átjáró-barlang (Passageway Cave). After that, it is a short forest walk to the Tündér-hegy quarry and Tündér-szikla (Fairy Rock). After reaching the lower station of the chairlift, the Lóvasút Cultural and Event Centre is a few minutes’ walk along Zugligeti Road.

This excursion will take around 1.5 to 2 hours if it includes a ride back up in the chairlift.

Difficulty: The route proceeds downhill.  The steps leading down to Tündér-szikla are spaced far apart, which can make progress a little more difficult for some visitors with reduced mobility.
